GPT-4 is not just a text generator. It is also multimodal, which means it can understand and produce different types of media, such as images, music and video. For instance, you can ask GPT-4 to translate a text into another language with an accompanying image or audio clip.
GPT-4 is the successor of GPT-3, which was released in 2020 and was already considered a breakthrough in AI. GPT-3 had 175 billion parameters (the numbers that define how the model works), while GPT-4 has more than 1 trillion parameters.

Facebook’s Powerful ChatGPT Competitor Leaks on 4chan
Facebook’s new Artificial Intelligence beta model, Large Language Model Meta AI (LLaMa), has been leaked.
The leaked version of LLaMa was not intended for public usage, but was instead to be beta tested.
The leaked version ended up on the controversial forum 4chan.
Discord teams up with OpenAI to add conversation summaries
Starting next week, a public experiment will begin rolling out to augment the built-in bot Clyde with conversational capabilities.
Clyde can be used to obtain information that would have been obtained from Google in the past.
Grammarly expands with AI-powered writing
Grammarly announced the addition of auto-composition features to its AI proofreading software.
This new set of features is called GrammarlyGo.
It will help the software keep up with companies adding generative AI backends to their products.
Google Engineers Developed Chatbot Years Ago, But Execs Shut it Down Due to Safety Concerns
Two Google engineers developed an AI chatbot, similar to ChatGPT, years ago.
The company was planning to launch the chatbot, Bard, soon.
Executives reportedly shut down the AI chatbot due to safety concerns.
